A totally unique creation, the frame of this table is made from an old, Spanish window frame about 200 years old. As was common then, the frame had a hand-made wrought iron grille set into it for security. This grille was removed and then repositioned below to serve as a book rack. The holes which were left in the frame by the removal of the grille have had irridescent glass spheres inserted into them. The other structural elements are made from old, up-cycled wood.
The stained glass panel comprises some very unusual glass and has various glass elements incorporated into the surface as well as a central faceted glass diamond. Illuminated from below by 4 filament bulbs with an in-line dimmer switch, this table is a wonder to behold with or without illumination.
The top is covered by a 5 mm thick clear glass sheet to protect the stained glass.
